Michael “Mick” P. Mills has practiced law in Tennessee since 1983. He was born in Tullahoma and grew up near Chattanooga. He went to the University of Virginia for four years and then to Vanderbilt University Law School.
After several years as a partner in a larger firm, Mick and Michele Cooper founded Mills & Cooper in January, 1997. Mick helped found the Tennessee Chapter of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators and served a term as President. He pursues an active litigation practice in state and federal court, dealing with insurance, civil rights, education, arson and fraud, personal injury and property damage

Michele E. Cooper is a 1991 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. She then attended the University of Tennessee - College of Law from 1992 to 1995. She was admitted to practice law in the State of Tennessee in 1995.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Cooper worked at a civil defense firm as an Associate, and clerked at a medical malpractice firm. She and her partner, Michael P. Mills, founded Mills & Cooper in January, 1997. Ms. Cooper is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations. She is also a member of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators. She was past Secretary for the Tennessee Chapter, and held a Board Member position in the National Chapter. She is a member of the Republican National Advisory Committee as a young professional, and is a member of Who's Who in Professional Women.
In her spare time, Ms. Cooper is an avid reader and swimmer, and enjoys interior decorating.
